One of our core values at Bright Up is working with products that make a meaningful contribution to the quality of the wines you produce. For more than two decades, we have carefully identified, selected and introduced materials and solutions that we believe can improve your wine’s final quality.

When we explored enzymatic analysis for wine laboratories, we recognised its significant added value: tools that make everyday laboratory work more precise, efficient and straightforward.

With a compact, accessible and convenient device connected to a tablet, and data stored in the cloud, wineries of all sizes can now benefit from reliable, accurate laboratory results to support better winemaking decisions.

Smart Analysis measures 20 key wine parameters, including glucose/fructose, organic acids, pH, SO₂, YAN and more.

The technology uses specific enzyme-driven reactions in which each component is selectively converted into a measurable product, assessed through a straightforward spectrophotometric reading.

Because each test is designed for a single component, the method offers a very high level of accuracy and eliminates erroneous results caused by interference arising from wine’s complex composition.

Smart Analysis — A Compact, Precise Instrument

Smart Analysis is a portable, compact and convenient instrument for enzymatic wine analysis, developed to meet the needs of wineries of all sizes.

Weighing just 1 kg and measuring 85 × 75 × 200 mm, the instrument performs enzymatic analysis using spectrophotometric technology, combining straightforward operation with minimal manual handling.

The system is supported by a tablet and a cloud-based application, allowing users to access and manage analytical results from anywhere in real time, providing winemakers with maximum precision and analytical insight.

Understanding the Technology

Enzymatic analysis enables the direct, specific measurement of key wine parameters through dedicated enzymatic reactions, providing the highest level of accuracy and reliability to support decisions throughout production.

Each parameter is measured using a specific enzyme that reacts only with the relevant compound.

The result is read using spectrophotometric technology, ensuring a particularly high level of accuracy and consistency.

By comparison, spectroscopic systems analyse the wine’s overall profile and use calibration models to estimate several parameters simultaneously. Although these systems are fast and efficient, their accuracy depends on the quality of the calibration and how closely the sample matches the reference data.
